  • Successfully implemented the MRP system in Ardex. The process, started on June 2004, involves the management of the Project team of nine permanent members representing four Ardex departments and the IT support Company.
  • Successfully redesigned and upgraded Ardex Australia's Quality System (seven sites) and upgraded its certification to ISO 9001:2000. Key improvements: implementation of Statistical Process Control (Six Sigma, Parreto analysis, Tagucci, etc.), new Quality Policy and Quality Manual, MS Access database for management of Quality events.
  • Successfully designed the "New Product Development" process integrating it with a state of the art MS Access database tailor made for Ardex Australia.
  • Successfully designed the OHS System for Ardex Australia (seven sites) and integrated in its Quality System.
  • Successfully introduced Internal Benchmarking to measure the performances of Ardex's manufacturing sites and Ardex Customer Service departments across Australia;
  • More than fifteen years ago started Sew Special, in partnership with my wife. Sew Special is now the most famous clothing alterations shop in Sydney. The shop featured in Cosmopolitan; SMH, A Current Affair numerous times. I am in charge with the strategic and tactical decisions (marketing, finance, operations, HR, etc.) whilst my partner is running the business daily;
  • Designed and managed the development and the implementation of Sspecial, a user-friendly bespoke Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software using touch screen and bar code technologies to optimize customer order entry, invoicing, job tracking, production planning, expense management, performance monitoring and BAS processing for the clothing alterations industry.
  • Successfully restructured UTILUX's Customer Support functions by designing a centralized Customer Service Department. The process involved setting up the structure of the new department, redesigning its core processes and a seamless integration of the customer support functions of a newly acquired business unit. The outcome was a self-managed team of eight professional Customer Support Officers with clear objectives, responsibilities and performance measurements supported by a MS database custom designed by me to facilitate the Customer Relationship Management processes. Benefits for UTILUX: savings due to the reduction of the number of the customer support officers from twelve to eight; improved customer support performance as shown by the results of the customer satisfaction survey carried by an independent organization.
  • As Product Manager successfully and efficiently integrating Sales, Marketing, Customer Support, and Logistic processes as part of UTILUX Project Pathfinder Team accountable for implementing a $1.5M ERP computer system upgrade.
  • As a Quality Manager/Continuous Improvement Manager, I led numerous critical quality-focused initiatives including facilitating ISO 9001:1994 certification upgrade, introducing TQM and UTILUX practices, launching a multi-level quality education program, and utilizing benchmarking as a continuous improvement tool, resulting in UTILUX quality performance ranking from 72.6% to 94.5%.
